life is so weird lately...decisions...problems...ideas...hopes...ect. i have a freind that i watched go from a devout christisn to a faith questioner to a cultist to a state prison inmate...this brings up a question was he ever saved? or if he was how was he allowed to fall so far from god? and if he is saved how will he ever return to god? logic

wow, that is sad what happened to your firend. I guess one thing you could do would be to pray. I mean, Paul in the Bible was a murderer - he even killed devout christians. but God worked in his life still nad he became an apostle and lead thousands to Christ. Who are we to judge that their life cannot be restored with Christ? that is up to God. we just need to trust His plan. YOu never lose salvation, you just lose control. God never loses control. He gives trials to make us stronger. He has a plan for your friend wether he is saved or not. Maybe you could keep in contact with your friend. Invite him to church when he gets out. talk to him remind him of what he used to know. I don't know.I do know that I've seen so many people turn away from everything God has done in their life. I still see them today and say hi buti know that their life has drastically changed and there isn't much i can do. I do know however, that they are saved. wether or not they show it - once they made that decision they have Him forever and i cna be happy to
