Perhaps because people are so much more interesting to watch when they interact.

Or perhaps because the only way to grow and change as a person is to meet someone new.

People interacting is no doubt more interesting, true.

Perhaps, one could argue that the passing of time makes change inevitable, socializing or not?

If you count physical change, I suppose so. Do you think it's possible to really change as a person without the help of someone else?

It might not be.

You think that being alone prevents change on a personal, psychological level?

Huh. I am now but that's because I changed. There's another reason why I can't hear it.

So you have never longed to simply be by yourself, while you've been stuck here?

That's a good question... the theory is that the City feeds off suffering, right? But forcing people to stick together makes them grow closer, I would think.

And thus maybe stronger.

Interesting. Perhaps emotions are important to the City in general, be they negative or positive?

Perhaps. Either way, I can't think of what it would get out of them. Do they fuel something? Is it all an experiment?

Something we are all pondering, no doubt. I wonder at the way the Deities seem to manipulate time in any way they see fit.

That, alone, must take power.

Well, the other week the clock stopped ticking.

Ah, yes. Time itself didn't stop, though, so it didn't worry me too much.

Yeah, that wasn't really too bad. The zombie thing was definitely not something I wanna do again, though.

Definitely not. That was almost surprisingly cruel.

Then again, I haven't been here very long.
