I didn't get a chance to look at this until early this morning and I'm suspecting you've done a lot of polishing up since...this feels pretty conclusive, at least it definitely doesn't feel awkward to me at all. I find the coming together kind of unexpectedly simple, in a good way. Any specific concerns about it?

specific concerns... well like you said - the coming together is simple - as long as it's not dumb or anything; I didn't want to be overtaken by emotions and "talking" cos that's not my style.
2nd - their responses in the last scene, is it realistic? mind you I'm going for mature Jim
3rd - the story as the whole flows to this last part just fine right? i mean obviously there's differences slightly in tone, but as long as it flows ok
--- thanks by the way for the readover, I just have read this too many times to properly read it you know

I didn't want to be overtaken by emotions and "talking" cos that's not my style. I think you definitely got that well. Spock is usually pretty wordy but he says a lot with little words in the last scene, and Jim is more physical about communicating things.
I thought the exchange was pretty believable. They're both a little hesitant to clarify things, but not too held back.
I do like the flow of the story overall-It gets a lot more reflective at the end, but that makes a lot of sense.

thanks by the way for the readover, I just have read this too many times to properly read it you know I definitely know what you mean, sometimes you work so long on something it's hard to have perspective. And I enjoyed reading it!

You finished!

And you survived!

And it was good!

I always love a good spontaneous "kiss me" in anything.

You know how I usually try to leave long and detailed and sometimes even bordering-on-verbose comments? Well .. I am going to fail this time around - you have completely and utterly bowled me over with your awesome writing. I love the conclusion you brought this story to, and it works so wonderfully with the previous parts that, if I didn't know you had problems with getting this written, I wouldn't be able to guess it!

I am thrilled beyond words that this was a bday present for li'l ol' me, and can't sufficiently express my gratitude 'cause seriously, you. You! Rock!

This was an absolutely amazing story, and your characterizations were so wonderfully done, and I love all of your character voices! And the 'Kiss me' line is just perfect (I love such almost non-sequitur lines from one protagonist to the other :D ). I think I'll go back and re-read all 3 parts now .. just to savour them altogether :D

Thanks for thinking it works well with the other parts - I was really concerned cos I was like, dude, ack, doesn't fit!!
No you deserved it - you're an awesome reader, leaving comments and letting authors know you appreciate their stuff; you do it all the time to everyone
As long as you and OP are happy that's good :D
