I've been looking through my old entries and I'm kind of shocked by how candid I was. Honestly kind of glad I basically left this screen name behind so not many could find this place unless they dug a little bit.

I was VERY candid when I first started LJ because nobody I knew in real life read my journal. After a bunch of irl friends found it and began friending it, I became slightly less so and/or filtered things. But I mainly write here because I have a terrible memory and reading my old entries helps me remember who I was and how things have changed (for better and for worse).

It's generally a lot easier for me to write more freely here, though, because I have so many people who theoretically could have some impact on my career who follow my FB, twitter, etc.

I kind of regret not keeping up with livejournal. I find going through my instagram is an interesting way to see a photo record of the past few years. But nothing really beats seeing my thoughts laid out.
