Sora remembers little of the dreaming, save for fleeting images and vague feelings. Somewhere in between, there is a subtle stirring, a gentle push from where he sleeps in the dark. He rises to consciousness gently, emerging from the comforting black to sterile white. It's been a long time, and he wards off the urge to go back to sleep with a yawn and a satisfying stretch.
In that moment of wakefulness, something blossoms in his chest. A fledgling connection both familiar and new that draws his attention outward and into the room. There is something waiting for him below, and when he opens his eyes to find it, Roxas is staring back.
