His archbishop was angry and stressed about this whole new ordeal, but he had to figure out how to calm him down while remaining equally so. He then reached over to pick up the man's tea and offer it to him once again.]

This wretched place is about to give me a conniption.

Taking the glass he took a brief sip and shuddered down the bitter-hot liquid. Ahh, he sighed softly as it soothed his aching fragile bones and set it aside on the nightstand.]

[Maxwell's bothered expression softened when the man knelt down before him like a knight to his prince. Everything felt aright for once, in the far too long time he had been here. Leaning forward, his gloved fingertips reached out to trace Anderson's brow to remind himself that he wasn't just another part of this unending nightmare.]

Just what am I doing here, Anderson? I don't belong in this cursed place.

[While Maxwell had the habit for never reaching out for aid, his one and only teacher was his sole exception to that law.]
