Ugh. Move-in was AWFUL yesterday. My apartment is GROSS and they havent cleaned it, and the people weren't moved out on time. I cannnnooooot wait to finally move into Mendota Ct and stay there for a whole year. I have not had my own space for so long...delicious solitude. There's still all of that moving though.

Last night turned out to be hilarious. Jen and I drove over to condo around 11:00 to visit Kaiti. We walked up to the front door and all of the lights were out, which seemed strange. Why do I insist on undermining myself? They all went to the Terrace after the Wisci meeting, and I should have gone too. Kaiti and Jen would have encouraged it. It would be fun...but instead I am going over to Kaiti's. Which is good too, but not what I SHOULD be doing. Silly Lola.

After a good amount of the usual "Laura-type" agonizing, I have finally decided that going home next week MUST happen, even though there is a WISCI meeting and a 5K opportunity. I need to find someone to run a 5K with me or that summer goal, along with another major one, will not be achieved.

It's so strange to feel as though I have no home and so many homes at the same time. People are home. I was in Michigan with my family all last week, floating in the middle of the lake. I like being in Madison when it's summer. I am going home tomorrow to see my family for a whole 10 days! That is more than the rest of the year combined I think. I really miss my dorm room for some reason. And Kaiti. and Pat. And Leah. At least I see JenJen regularly. My tummy hurts. My toenails are pink.

I am back in Madison now. The great Italian adventure is over. Sadness! And now I don't really have much to do here at all...labwork is pretty much nonexistent. I have an interview today, so please pray for me. I need to start finding out who is in Madison that I can hang out with. I guess I really do have things to do.
