Stupid show trying to be all good. Thank heavens Taub is still there to make me want to throw things (oh, wait, I want to enjoy watching...sigh). ANYWAY. I get wanting to fit canon in. GOOD LUCK. And anything you want from me, lemme know.
Well I think that is a good idea, we could totally work with this. Riley could call in some favors and knock it down to drug charges - or would that prohibit her from practicing medicine? Well let me know how you would feel about that.
Did Remy's brother have Huntington's disease? Sorry, I didn't see the episode, damnit :| I think that it will effect their relationship, Riley would be pissed, she has that anti-suicide thing. While she understands the drive behind Euthanization it is still upsetting and she doesn't want to see Remy go the same way, etc. etc. So she'd be pissed but, oddly enough, not a deal breaker.
Yeaaah. Basically, 6 months ago Remy was (for some reason never explained) visiting with her (previously never mentioned) older brother, who was in the final stages of Huntington's. He told her "it's time," so she decided to euthanize him. In the show, she wore gloves so they couldn't "get" her on (what I imagine are) assisted suicide/murder charges, and she plead down to drug charges
( ... )
LOVE IT. Love writers who don't have forethought to put in something like that, or, have the decency to explain something like a previously unknown brother. Sure we can't all see the future but I hate when they pull shit for no reason and then don't sack up and explain it.
Ah gottcha. Gottcha good. So Riley has six months to do whatever while Remy sits in lock up, which would be interesting for Riley and their relationship. I'm thinking (and this can of course be changed) that once she got sentenced they could leave the relationship in limbo - Riley could leave NJ, and stay silent while Remy is in jail (hence her calling House.) Honestly I love these two to keep them completely broken up, so Riley would come back.
Yeah, no kidding. They wanted to add drama to Thirteen so they gave her a random brother she could kill.
That sounds good (and sad!). House actually just shows up, it's a big surprise for Remy. But it'd make more sense for Remy to go along with him if she hasn't spoken to Riley in 6 months. She's probably afraid to. He spends the episode trying to figure out what she did, before she breaks down (at the potato gun competition) and tells him. At the end of the episode, he drops her at her place and she hesitates. In my head, it's because she knows Riley's not there.
