strangecobwebs made the fanmix for this fic, and it is charming. I switched immediately from the playlist I'd used while drafting to this for the editing and rewrites, because it fit the fic so beautully.

   Brendon obediently stands still and lets Spencer tie his tie; Spencer has no idea how after three years Brendon hasn't learned how to do it himself, or how he hasn't noticed the way Spencer's breath catches in his chest when he's sliding the knot to rest gently at the base of Brendon's throat. He's not going to complain, though, even if it might be the most pathetic thing in the world to look forward to straightening Brendon's blazer and fixing the one shirt button that somehow came undone.

    I had this feeling that after a week or two, Jon and Ryan were going to get sick of hearing, “You’re awesome!” “No, you’re awesome!” fights between Brendon and Spencer. This is just kind of a song form of that.
    
    Also, Brendon could totally have used something like this in poetry class to entertain Spencer and annoy Mr. Van Vleet! “You’re so rad / more rad than my dad / if you were fabric, you would be plaid / everybody knows plaid is so rad”
