fluid like a jelly monster
I'm applying to go to the University of Nottingham for exchange through the law school, semester 1 (UK) 2008 (September 08 - January 09). For this I need a killer cover letter [and CV, which I've already fixed up for the purpose] with which to impress Sarah Derrington. There are only 6 places available. I've written something, but I don't know how formal/informal it should be because it's slightly different from applying for a job. Any help would be good!
I love driving with the windows down, Boston Legal and very fluorescent highlighters. Today I bought myself a well-cut dark grey suit jacket and a navy blue pencil skirt, because the suits I've been wearing for mooting so far have been mum's. The outfit makes me feel very professional and, well, very legal, which I suppose is the effect that I'm going for. They've been turning the sprinklers on in the Great Court at uni lately (must be bore water or the Qld government would've come hammering on the door demanding an explanation for the violation of level 5 restrictions) and I've taken to spotting rainbows in the sprinklers as they twist and flail. My record is 2 (Thurs, 16/08) and that was a fantastic day. Anyhow, I have photos!
