Wow has a lot happened in the 2 months since I last posted. Of course I'm too exhausted at the moment to tell all, but I really do promise there will be a detailed post soon. Every night I get less and less sleep and every day I realize more and more that this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing.

never thought i'd be excited for getting 6 hours of sleep. i haven't been up at 5am consecutively in, forever, and i'm so tired that it took me 3 tries to spell the word consecutively. my eyes are going to fall out. it is day two of Teach for America's Institute and every muscle in my body hurts. tuesday i get my kindergarten class. i now ( Read more... )

tonight was lovely and mysterious. my family and i listened to the soundtrack for Into the Wild which is beautiful and haunting, and if you haven't seen the movie, do so. we ate tri-tip while celebrating my dad's birthday a few days early. then, we played rummikub and watched Planet Earth and i dawwed at the cute baby animals. my room is still ( Read more... )

It really blows my mind the way people let religion form their opinions without question. The best part being, these opinions change over time, and each time the new rules and truths are accepted as though they have always been the truth.
