IMPORTANT QUESTION:

where, except for AP, can you find mostly reliable information about what's going on in the world?

in other words, STOP COVERING THE PRIMARY, NEWS STATIONS, AND TALK ABOUT WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN IMPENDING WAR IN SOUTH AMERICA!

The Newshour (with Jim Lehrer) covered it tonight and I'll confess, I thought mostly of you (since you recently lived in S.America)

thanks for the tip! I actually saw the same segment totally by accident, and was really glad to get some kind of substantive information from the news.

KQED has been keeping up with both the primary and the situation in South America. The programs they air are the World, News Hour, and BBC world briefing. And probably a few others that are relevant in this situation, but those are the programs that air at times I'm in the car. Anyway, I've been hearing equal parts South America and primaries. KQED is pretty easy to listen to online, also.

i finally found some good news on public broadcasting yesterday night, actually. i mean, i found plenty during the day, but it mostly focused around how btw chavez is crazy and so on.

also, NPR had some pretty relevant conversation yesterday evening.

still. i wish big things like this got a little more coverage on the big stations. i wouldn't mind a five minute interlude in the five hour discussion of poll data to discuss the situation in the south. you know?
