Farmel was a little surprised to hear shuffling from the room that she signed up for. The commander wasn't aware that she would be rooming with someone else. The room was vacant when she wrote her name, so it must have been someone afterwards. No matter, it might even provide an entertaining experience~
She knocked on the door and waited, a smile lifting upon her features. Farmel's belongings were packed in boxes behind her and she hoped that the roommate would help bring them in.
No use dillydallying, she thought. She lifted her pistol (one of the few things remaining from Atlanta) and with great ceremony, opened the door.
There stood a very peculiarly dressed woman. The only explanation she could think of was that she was-- well. "I'm sorry, you must have the wrong door." Scarlett muttered, "I haven't requested a-- a working lady." and began to shut it.
Farmel kept on smiling at the other woman, even when she spotted the pistol in her hand. "I believe that this is the correct room, N1 F2-2." She placed her armored hand against the door to prevent it from closing. "You, on the other hand, seemed to want a roommate, since you wrote your name next to mine~"
"I did no--" she gasped. Did she? Scarlett faintly remembered that she had, but brushed it off. She didn't even consider that maybe, just maybe, she might be lonely; the possibility didn't even register in her mind.
"We'll just have to sort this out with whoever's in charge here," firmly but loftily. "Until then, I suppose you'll have to stay." She obviously didn't understand that there was no one there but them.
