Buying a house really stinks!

I can not believe how hard it is to buy a house these days!  They seem to want my first born son before they'll let me have the loan!  I told them exactly how much money I make and today they call me and ask why my bonus was different in '06 and '07.  My stupid company put my moving reimbursement in as a bonus.  I don't understand the problem

AHH i was just going to say the same thing when I read yours. We waste so much on rent, however, my husbands credit went POOF when we got married (we decided eating out and buying things was the greatest idea on earth) and I have NO credit, which took mine with, however, he just switched jobs and is making a boatload more money every month and we could DEFINITELY afford a house, but since we have all this nonsense on our track record, there's no loan to speak of. *le sigh* indeed. Chin up I suppose.
