There's something about your fics that always make me go "Oh, SAM...!" Poor dear.

"Sam rattles the bars of his self-made cage..." I LOVE this line. It's so perfect, so HIM. Spot on Sam, totally in character. I'm so impressed that you can get so much feeling out of so few words!

Terrific. Echoing the love for 'self-made cage'- that's wonderful, and wonderfully characteristic.
Also, was 'clicks her fingers' consciously subverting 'click your heels' from Wizard of Oz? Because I really got that feeling. Either way, it was chilling.
Each section holds a great deal of weight for its space, somehow managing to tell a story in many parts.
Great stuff!
