Opposing Change / You can't fix what's not broken

You guys, they're "updating" Clue!

How did I miss that?

The Wikipedia article on all the changes.

That was my favourite game, and I was pretty darn good at it. Rather to the point where no one would play with me after a while. Though that might be because I made people play it so often. ^_^

DO. NOT. WANT.

And I mean, I am sorry, but Jack Mustard in the Home Theatre with the Trophy just does not have the same ring to it.

This was my favorite game growing up, and yet I never knew that Green was Reverend Green. My world has been rocked.

And they could have maybe made Mrs. Peacock and Mrs. White more appealing to play so the girls don't have to fight over Miss Scarlet, you know?

When I was little, I totally fought my friends/cousins/family/whatnot tooth and nail to be Ms. Scarlet. Part of it was that, at the time, my favorite color was red, but mostly, she just looked the coolest. I think Mrs. Peacock could use an upgrade, because I firmly believe that she has badass potential hidden in there somewhere. I like that she's from a political family, but, come on. Give the lady some intrigue. I also agree that it would be nice if Mrs. White wasn't so Gary Coleman (sorry, he's my default when it comes to child stars ( ... )

I know, it was all Mr. Green in the US, which I suppose is fine either way.

OMG, wouldn't it be awesome if instead of giving them first names they had just changed Mrs. Peacock to like Sen. Peacock? I mean, give the women some jobs! Plus, Mrs. is used twice. And White could be Dr. White. I TOTALLY JUST SOLVED THE PROBLEM. I think we need to contact Hasbro now.

And yeah, I did the same thing with Miss Scarlet because she did look the coolest, plus Prof. Plum was a boy.

As for the observatory, you're right. But it still stands out as WTF, you know? It was "interesting" and "spooky" as a kid.

Oh no. They are not doing this!!

I loved Clue! I could only convince my brother to play when there was a babysitter over, b/c I always won. It was so good to play that game, and be sneaky and figure out what cards other players had, and sometimes you just had to go with your gut feeling to win. NO WAY! Grr to the new stuff.

I also always picked Miss Scarlet. The other ladies were just too boring looking. Miss Scarlet looked like the ladies who would be in the old detective movies...noir, I guess?

Also, agree with you about Monopoly. It's not the same electronically. Well, I don't think so. I haven't played it the new way, but it doesn't look as good. No back room dealing allowed. Since when did Monopoly become fair?

Are you up for having weekly Clue tournaments?
