Well, as most of you know, Rebecca was born on October 3. It was an uneventful delivery. The afternoon of Oct. 2, I lost my mucous plug (yuck). Why did they give you the pitocin?
How much could you feel during the contraction and pushing?
How long did it take for you legs and stuff to feel normal again?

2. I could feel the strongest contractions through the epidural, but it was more like a moderate menstrual cramp feeling. The pushing I couldn't feel, but I could feel her slide out. I felt a little rectal pressure immediately prior to pushing.
3. It took several hours for the numbness/tingling to leave once the epidural was removed. It felt exactly like when your face is numb from novacaine and it's starting to wear off...but obviously, over a larger area.
