I don't know if i should go down this weekend for party and to get my stuff, or stay up here for party and hockey! and I can't get girls in general and specific out of my head... and i think im crushing on my RA... I wonder if there is a rule about asking out an RA.... anywho thought id let you all in on why im not writing my papers right now ( Read more... )

Your RA can't date you. If she got caught, she'd get released and have lots of problems from the school. She might even get kicked out of NAU. Don't pursue her, it could ruin her life. If you do pursue you, you're a jerk. If she's okay with it, though, then it's not your fault and you can go for it, assuming she's not totally fucking stupid and knows she's breaking 9052 rules.

Jon Spurny went through this. The only way you could date is if you were both RAs OR if you didn't live in her dorm.

ya i felt like there had to be some rule against it... if she pursues me tho i dont know if i could turn her down. lol.

I dunno about the RA/resident dating rules here, but at Stanford we had a "red light, yellow light, green light" policy. It basically means let time pass, don't scam on freshman, and if you're both upperclassmen and keep it cool and not GUESS WHAT WE SNOG CONSTANTLY, it's okay. But there's still kind of a social taboo about it.
