kilt tartans

sooooo... As many of you may remember I wanted to get a kilt in my family's tartan, however it is pretty..um... well effing expensive cause it is less common ( who would have thought O'Reilly would be less common right?) anyway im thinking about giving in and just getting the irish national tartan. just wanted to get opinions and comments from
