There are a lot of people here who are shaped like humans but aren't, like Not-Antennae Man and Cooro, and more people who aren't shaped human at all, like the Prinnies!

No; I don't remember anyone who looked even somewhat like a Human. How are Half-Elves different?

A half-elf can sense mana - that's the make-up of our world - and use magic as a result. We've also got pointy ears and longer lifespans. I'm expected to live about... a thousand years? I don't really dwell on the differences here as much as I did back home.

Yes. I was infused with Chozo DNA. My body still appears human, but I'm much stronger and more agile than a normal human.
