Chapter Six

Aug 12, 2008 14:51

A festival, this time. It seems familiar to a lot of you. It doesn't to me.

It's things like this that make me think that the masters of this island are mortal, and come from another world just like this rest of us. It explains, at least, why the island recognizes festivals and events native to one world but not another.

There are people from multiple worlds here, then?

So I'm led to believe. I certainly don't share a world with most of the inhabitants.

I can see how you would come to that conclusion.

My name is Oshima. Yours?

In general, the island appears to base its culture off of something close to where I've come from, since I've seen some of the same clothing and food as my native land. I'm not sure what my home was called, though, to be honest. It was just a wide spread of villages connected by a loose highway system.

I see. And festivals like this, were they common?

I think they might've been. I was always on the move, though; I don't think I ever stayed long enough to be present for one.

Do you not remember any kind of gatherings like this festival at all, T-O-E?

((smokin' buddies once again))

Nothing specific, although I'm sure they happened. My memory of my home is still fuzzy, and I can only recall living there as a child.
