Yes, I'm still good with running those things.

I'm fairly ready for the new year. I've been whacking my way through a bunch of Life Stuff tasks that really need tending to. My car is repaired after the run-in I had with a wall that busted up my front right fender.

I might...actually...have time to myself this week!

Words are in the plan. And knitting the front of a sweater - my first attempt at a sweater, which will be simple and knit flat/sewn together. Will see how it turns out. If nothing else it may be good for a laugh. :)

Hope the Benedryl hit the spot.

Thank you, the Benadryl is helping, but I feel like all I do is take allergy pills right now.

You have to watch our for those walls, they jump out at you. Especially when it's slippery.

Every sweater I've done has been in the round, I detest sewing. BUT - I did see a tiktok this week that if you are doing a pieced flat sweater you should knit your sleeves at the same time on the same set of needles so that they end up the same size. Just use two skeins of yarn. I don't know why it didn't occur to me until I saw it on the reel. YOU CAN DO IT! YOU CAN!

Oooh, that's a really valid point. I have a heck of a time with socks ending up different sizes, lol.

I now have another mission for the year - to knit the sleeves (and socks) and the same time and not sequentially.

I've written one book review so far this year and that's all I've got.

While I do love the A to Z and Numbers challenges, I put them off (sort of like how I do everything), but I am really trying to be better.

I have no plans, no resolutions, just a desire to do better than I did last year. Wish me luck. 😂 I have two half-finished fics that I would like to finish. One is about 7 years old at this point, so it's due. The other spawned in Montreal, so it's not that old yet.

OH! I forgot to mention, I did toss 27 things on Sunday. And found pictures of the younger child when she was 5 months old. Fitting for the day after her 23rd birthday.

EEP. No trips to the alpaca farm for the foreseeable future!

I am currently battling bronchitis which is fun. My main resolutions besides trying to lose weight is to finish up a good chunk of my ongoing WIP and to start posting completed fics first. I am a little behind on my goal mostly because I have been sleeping so much and photography my cat.

You've still got plenty of time, take care of yourself first.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

I do LOVE knitting in the round and just tried helix knitting for the first time last month. And every blanket I knit I do on circular needles. The round blanket I made I was using 3 different circulars when I got to the end. In fact I just splurged on a new set or interchangables and a new set of DPNs.

THERE IS SO MUCH YARN! We'll get to it eventually. HA!
