I guess I'm pretty much out of the Exodus groove, so that series isn't going to happen anytime soon. So, moving right along . . . .

Weezer's third self-titled album, The Red Album, came out June 3rd. It's time to give my song-by-song review, and in the process discuss other issues involved with the songs.

Couldn't agree more. I deleted all but "Greatest Man" and "Pork and Beans". Most of the album, lyrically and in its ideas, amounts to posturing. And I don't care if it's ironic, it's boring. That's my main complaint about their recent work; where they used to sing about normal, average guy stuff in a way that no other band was doing, now they sing mainly about being rock stars. Zzzzzz.

I told Felix I was pretty sure I wrote Heart Songs when I was in High School. I guess I was a 14 year old girl and I didn't even know it.
