Personally, I think that if he was calling you selfish about the issue, HE'S the one being selfish.

It's a very difficult thing to go through, getting a step-parent... especially one as a permanent mother figure. And especially for a teenager. You haven't told him that you DON'T want him to remarry, you told him you're just not sure, which he nor anybody else should expect you to be. As a father, he should be thinking about you and how hard it will be on you. Of course as a daughter you should worry about him and his happiness, and it is a really good thing to do, but he needs to take you into consideration.
