I caught up with the New Prince of Tennis series today. I saw a listing of the players who caught a tennis ball, and I must say I'm a bit surprised.

No Yagyuu? No Shishido? Kamio without Shinji? Naturally, all of Seigaku (including Kawamura who I thought was supposed to have given up tennis) make it in. A lot of Shitenhouji people made it, too,

I myself was particularly fond of that page. In fact, I thought it was the best page in the whole chapter (aside from Kirihara looking like he was going to wet himself in fear and Sanada's epic appearance of epic lulz.)

Somehow I'm not surprised by that. ;D I must say that page was my favorite, too. That Kamio shot just begs to be iconed. I notice even Ryoma is sneaking around to get a gander at Shinji's behind.

The chapter had quite a few fun moments: Yagyuu asking Shishido if his new catch phrase was "dweeb" and Niou saying "pupina" instead of puri, Inui taking off his glasses when the big high school guy called out one of the meganes, and Kawamura pulling Akutsu away and telling him to wait until the shuffle matches before beating anyone up was pretty funny.

Poor Kirihara. He can't catch a break.

If Ryoma were anything but a bratty showoff, he wouldn't be Ryoma.

True, true. I have no problem with him being bratty, but it bothers me that he's had the lion's share of the story so far. I thought this new one was supposed to be more of an ensemble.

Actually, I think it'd be cool if they all had their behinds handed to them for a change. Unbeaten is boring~
