DBSK Pimp Post of Doom

I've been meaning to do this for a while. Actually, since I saw some pimp posts for other bands and wondered why there were none for DBSK (also known as the greatest boyband ever).

Now, don't get turned off because I said boyband. These boys are different. They are Asian. Also, they sing and dance better and are prettier. So check it out, and join me in my love of gay Asian boybands.

Introduction: DBSK

I've never liked boybands. In fact, I used to hate them with a passion. But for some reason, DBSK is different. Maybe it's the eyecandy, or the gay, or maybe because they are foreign. How are they different from western boybands you ask (other than that they are foreign)? Well...I don't know. They just are. Hopefully by the end of this post you'll see the difference too. That or my complete nerdiness will be exposed and I'll be teased mercilessly. One or the other. But really, they are fantastic, just read damnit.

Anyway, DBSK (also known as DBSG, TVXQ, TVFXQ in China, and Tohoshinki in Japan) debuted in 2004, produced by SM entertainment (a Korean music company). Usually this would irritate me, since I grew up liking bands that were formed by themselves and not "produced". But this is Asian pop and these boys are different, theirloveispure, but I'll get to that later. So, DBSK debuts in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, and several other east Asian countries. They've done albums in both Korean and Japanese, and they've realized songs in Chinese. I like to think of them as the Beatles of east Asia, because everywhere they go, their fangirls go apeshit. Entire airports have been shut down because so many fans came to greet them and it became a safety hazard. Seriously, when DBSK fans are fangirling, shit gets crazy, and often very scary. Here some fans chase the band in a taxi. They've actually caused the band to crash a couple of times. But my point is that they are extremely fucking popular in east Asia, and for good reason. They can sing, they can dance (this is my favorite video, just so you know), and they are fine as hell. Here's a pic spam to prove my point:

DBSK: One on One (har har)

Yunho: aka The Leader, aka The Daddy, aka Moobs

Name: Jung YunHo

Stage name: U-KNOW, U-know YunHo (clever right?)
DOB: Feb 6, 1986 (21 years old)

Position/talents: Leader, Dancer (although they all dance, he's the best, he even won a talent competition for it XD), Baritone (thanks wikipedia), sometimes raps, King of Sexy

Interesting Facts

He has the largest hands in the group...what? He does.
He's got a little sister, and because of some issues with not being able to help her when they he was a little younger, he is really protective of the people around him. Which leads me to my next bullet...
He's the self-proclaimed daddy of the group. In a few interviews he has said that he is the dad of the group, while Jaejoong is the mom, Junsu is the oldest son (Yoochun is his wife) and Changmin is the youngest son. Here's one interview (it's not in English but it's basically what I just said).
If he wasn't dancing then he'd want to be a prosecutor, like his grandfather was.
When his grandfather died he had to take up part time jobs, and sometimes he would be homeless and have to sleep at the underground train station. (Btw, if you click that link, ignore his terrible peach sweater. As we go along you'll see that who ever designs their outfits has a terrible, terrible fashion sense).
In October of 2006 an anti-fan tried to poison him by putting super glue in his water. She posed as a staff member and handed him a bottle of watter with Cyanoacrylate (a chemical found in superglue), he drank from it and got sick. Fortunately, he was able to recover and the person responsible turned herself in a few days later because she was afraid that the dbsk fans would find her first. Yunho, being the good guy that he is, asked the cops to drop the charges because "he has a little sister who is almost the woman's age." Awwwwwwwwww, don't you just want to have his babies?
He can also be a big dork. As Ilana says, he's like an embarrassing dad. (Notice him humping Jae here too).
Also, he has moobs. But I'm sure they are the sexiest moobs around.
Seriously, the boy can dance.
Here he is getting married to his husband, Jaejoong. They also touch a lot in public, and hold hands. He also proclaims his love for Jaejoong here.
The group plays a prank on him, and the way he responds makes me want to have his babies.

Jaejoong: aka The Pretty Boy, aka The Mommy

Name: Kim JaeJoong
Stage name: Hero, YoungWoong JaeJoong
DOB: Jan 26, 1986 (21 years old)
Position/talents: Main vocals, being the prettiest

Interesting Facts

He has EIGHT sisters.
Has a grand total of 11 piercings, and a tattoo on his back that says "TVFXQ SOUL".
He's the biggest camwhore of the lot, but mostly because he likes to look at himself (check at about 2:50) whenever possible.
He's afraid of coca-cola.
The boy can sing.
He's a good cook and usually cooks for the others. XD
He has the most adorable laugh ever (thats a link to a compilation of all of them laughing, but you can hear him specifically at 28 seconds, 1:00, 1:10, 1:14, 1:37, and 1:49. What.)
His nickname is BooJae because he spaces out a lot (in Korean it makes sense). He's also very random.
Before their second album came out (Rising Sun), Jaejoong injured his knee, and he was given the choice of having a surgery now that would allow him to perform in their upcoming concert, but it would be bad for his knee in the long run, or he could get one that would require him to sit out dancing parts for a while but eventually his knee would be 100% again. His group members told him they wanted him to recover fully, even though they needed him for the concert. So he did, and now hes all better and dancing again and theirloveissopure. (That is the most ridiculous fangirly paragraph I've ever written).
He wears hamtaro pjs. Isn't he cute?
He also cries during concerts.
He seems cold on the outside, but deep down he's a real boo. Let's watch him sing "Hug" rock & roll style (check out the Jaeho action in there too).
He and Yunho have lots of adorable Mommy & Daddy moments. Here they lip sing together during a radio show (and at the end they kiss:O). Here he watches his husband dance. They like to wrap their legs around each other. Here he is saying he misses Yunho while hes away. And here Yunho plays with his suspenders.
Jaeho: Their love is pure. However, Jaemin and Jaechun are also popular. What? I'm not biased at all.
Oh, and his hair color changes a lot. It's been black, platinum blond, dirty blond, reddish, dark brown, and recently some sort of light brownish color.

Yoochun: aka The Sensitive one, aka The Pimp, aka The American

Name: Park YooChun
Stage name: Micky, Micky YooChun
DOB: June 4, 1986 (20 years old)
Position/talents: Bass-baritone, some rapping, wearing pimp hats, being sensitive

Interesting Facts:

Spent quite a few years in America. Was recruited by SM entertainment after winning Korean talent show thing for SM entertainment while he was living in Virginia. He can speak English (sort of). (He spent part of his childhood in Virginia). Here he talks to someone he thinks can speak English too.
Here he takes a shower. (towards the end of the clip) It's not really an interesting or unique fact, it just makes me happy. (these are the outtakes from a drama they did. Yes, they do their own tv shows. And movies.)
Some people say he's a pimp. Maybe its because of the pimp outfits hes been wearing in videos lately. (In the first one he has a cane, and in the second one he's the guy flipping the coin). He likes pimp hats.
But don't forget he has a sensitive side too. That's him crying on stage when the group was emo because they thought that would of the members was going to be kicked out. (I told you their love was pure). The fans start chanting 5-1=0 and he's so touched he starts crying. Izzaboo.
He's very close with his brother, who is still back in the States. Here, he cries while telling the story about his time in America, his parents divorce, and leaving his brother behind. He needs a hug.
He has a tattoo on his lower back that says "TVFXQ MATE", and another of a dragon on his calf that matches his brother's.

Name: Kim JunSu
Stage name: XIAH (like Asia, get it?), Xiah JunSu
DOB: December 15, 1986 (20 years old)
Position/Talents: Baritenor, Singing, Dancing, Dolphin Noises, uh...Sports?

Interesting Facts:

He's got a well proportioned ass.
He can make dolphin noises.
He's sensitive about his voice, because it's so high pitched.
But he can really sing, and he's got madd dancing talent too.
He is the group's favorite person to pick on.
The group describes him as being like the sun from The Teletubbies.
He's got a twin brother.
His best friend is Hyukjae from Super Junior, another SME band. They talk about each other a lot.
His favorite sport is soccer. (I have no idea why they are playing love music in this clip.)
He's adorable. Here he is laughing nonstop during an interview. It's infectious.

Name: Shim ChangMin
Stage name: Max, ChoiKang ChangMin
DOB: February 18, 1988 (19 years old)
Position/Talents: Tenor, Singing, being both Cute and Sexy at the same time, being a smart-ass.

Interesting Facts:

He likes to watch porn.
He can be a real smart-ass.
Changmin/food = OTP. Seriously, it's his favorite thing to do.
He goes from being ridiculously cute and ickle (aww look at him play with the kitten!), to being hot as hell (this is why I call him "The Screamer", he's just so good at it).
His favorite book is Harry Potter.>:D
He goes to KyungHee University now, and his major is PostModern Music.
He likes to bring up personal issues a lot on TV.

They also play a prank on poor Min, and he gets so upset because he thinks he's upset his senior that he looks like he's going to cry. He's so ickle.<3

They were on the show Over the Mountain, Across the River, where celebs go and visit old people. It's really sweet. This is the first episode they were on, but they've been on a few more times.

For some reason they go to a junkyard to put together a car. I think it's for their concert. It's really cute anyway.
