I like this quote from one of the books i'm reading for a class.

"Intelligence consists of the ability to make increasingly acute discriminations, as related to increasingly wide connections, in contexts provided by culturally devised role expectations."

i always dread going to SAI meetings but as soon as i get there i feel so great, like everything bad just disappears and i'm surrounded by so many amazing girls. it makes me feel like i'm home again. i love all my new sisters.

today was alright...i slept until 2 then went to walmart to pick up a few things then to the faculty brass quintet recital. That was amazing, the faculty here is just all around amazing, i love them to death and it makes me want to stay but i wont. you know you're a music major when you get bored and decide to write a two-part invention similar to that of Bachs two-part inventions just for fun.

yes, i attempted to write my first real piece of music today.  and it was a two-part invention and i had fun.  it might not be the best but it's not finished yet and it's a lot better then i expected. ( Read more... )
