Gwen, I really like your Spain stories or maybe just the way you write them. Either way, it sounds like you are having some interesting experiences that I would love to read more of.

In response to your jealously of my visiting the UK and Dali: blamesociety July 8 2005, 03:48:50 UTC
I thought that you've been to the UK before?

I bought tea at Harrods because I remembered that amazingly delicious tea that you gave me the last few bags of last year, and though I don't think I got the same kind, I do have lots of delicious tea thanks to you!

Honestly, also, I saw the Dali museum because you guys didn't get to, and I said to myself, there's no way that none of us can see it. I took lots of pictures.

And if it would cost you $500 to change your flight, then spend at least half of that touring the country! Go to San Sebastian--it's where all the French people spend the weekend to get trashed and it's sooo pretty. AND the symbol of the Basque region of spain is the 4 winds! Our school's symbol is posted all near the beach, it's so great.

Anyway, I hope you're well! I'm home now and living with my laptop on top of, well, my lap. Good luck!

Indeed I was in the UK in 2000, but my jealousy in that department comes from wanting to be there presently. It´s funny that the Basque region uses the four winds as their symbol particularly because Asturias uses THREE winds - at least the symbol is a tripartite thing of swirls. We are definitely considering beaching our last two weeks, and San Sebastian is high on the list of priorities for that as far as we´ve been advised. I´m drinking lots of tea here myself since it´s so damn cold! Can´t wait to see your pictures and compare trip notes in August.

I can't wait either. Keep warm and let me know when you're home. :)
