Elizabeth is such a B***h. Part 2

Elizabeth's Secret Diary Volume 3 The story continues.

Part two.

#75 Amy’s True Love

Elizabeth plays doubles (Tennis. Dirty minded people. Just me? Oh, sorry then.) with Todd Enid and Enid’s cousin Jake. Except in the actual book it was Tom McKay! Did the ghost writer even read any of the books? Hang on; Tom has just turned up, with Barry Rork.  Todd notices that Liz is a bit distracted. You bet she’s distracted; she can’t stop thinking of Sam.

Liz has another date with Sam. She can’t stay long because she has to go to the Beach Disco. She actually tells Sam this. Her excuse for not inviting him along? Because it’s for Jake and having Sam there will be distracting. See, if some one I was dating said that to me, alarm bells would be ringing.

Sam shows up at the Beach Disco. OMG. Liz manages to have a dance with him and nobody sees it. WTF? She almost tells Sam about Todd. She chickens out when Sam says he loves her.

Liz pops into Project Youth and sees Tom McKay reading a pamphlet on homosexuality.  So of course she has to stick her nose in and talk to him about it.

#76 Miss Teen Sweet Valley

Elizabeth decides to break things off with Sam. They meet at the beach and she tells him she can’t see him anymore. No explanation.

Elizabeth is fuming because Jessica has entered the Miss Teen Sweet Valley Pageant. They’re sexist and demeaning blah blah. Liz rounds up all her friends to protest, they go along with it, of course, because Elizabeth is the Queen of everything and Beauty Pageants are wrong, wrong, wrong. Pssst, Liz, so is cheating on your boyfriend.

I’m not going to make this recap any longer by recapping a book that has already been done. Liz doesn’t moon about Sam, or at least she doesn’t go on and on about him. Thank God, because I needed a break from it all.

Half way through the recap now.

#77Cheating To Win

Elizabeth seems to be avoiding being alone with Todd. Not because of Sam, it’s just part of the plot of Cheating To Win.

After seeing Tony Esteban fall and hurt himself during a Track Meet, Elizabeth starts thinking about Sam. Because it makes her think of Sam getting hurt on his Dirt Bike. So she calls him and asks him to meet her at the beach. She tells him she loves him. I have wanted to slap Elizabeth quite often during this book, but right now I want to punch her so hard.

So Elizabeth keeps seeing Sam and Todd at the same time. Until Sam sees her kissing Todd. Ha!

She calls Sam and asks him to meet her at a café. Sam yells at her and calls her a cheating cheater. Then he walks out and leaves Liz all alone with his cold cup of coffee. Poor Liz, I feel so sorry for you. Heavy on the sarcasm, light on the sugar.

Liz cries and decides to treat Todd better. Her plan, to kidnap him and take him to Castillo San Angelo. That’s right, the same place she went with Sam. This time I will blame the ghost writer. Of course those who have read the book or the recap know that Todd has the same idea. They have a totally romantic time and agree that they are a great couple. A great couple of what?

Liz has a dream about Sam. They are walking on the beach not talking and then he leaves her and walks away with Jessica. In her dream Elizabeth gives them her approval.

#78 The Dating Game

Not much about Sam in this one. He is at the Dairy Burger and ignores Elizabeth. She is all hurt and emo. How could he act as if there was nothing between him? Did she mean nothing to him? Barf. He totally checks out Jessica. Yay.

Sam and his friends turn up at the Beach Disco. Liz realizes that Sam is going to ask Jessica to dance. So she stops this from happening by forcing everyone in to a big circle dance. No one thinks this is weird. Of course we all know that Liz can’t keep Sam away from Jessica.

#79 The Long Lost Brother

This book is not mentioned at all. I could recap it if you like. Just give me a week to get over this one.

#80 The Girl They Both Loved

Elizabeth is freaking out because Jessica is hanging around April Dawson. April knows Sam. Oh dear.

Todd and Liz are going through their ‘Girls can do anything Boys can do’ phase. This whole plot sucks. Both fail at their set tasks, which kind of proves Todd’s point. That isn’t mentioned though.

Steven, (oh hi Steven) is teaching Liz to change a tire when Jessica breezes out on her way to watch April race dirt bikes. I am typing this up in Word and every time I type April I am asked to press enter to insert today’s date. April 19, 2008. See? Funny no?

Any way, Elizabeth tries to stop Jessica leaving; this does not happen in the original book at all. The ghost writer really needs to do her research.

Of course Jessica meets Sam and totally falls in love with him. Elizabeth eats her heart out while Jessica describes how wonderful Sam is. I laugh because I really don’t like Elizabeth at the moment.

Sam calls the house for Jess and Liz answers the phone. She chews him out and accuses him of using Jessica to get back at her, Liz. Sam doesn’t take this crap and tells Liz off. Team Sam. He tells her that Jessica is open and truthful while Liz is deceitful. Woo Hoo. Oh Sam, how I miss you.

Liz bumps into Sam while visiting Artie West at the hospital. (There’s another W for you Liz.) Sa apologizes to Liz for being so harsh to her on the phone. He tells her that he loves Jessica more than he has loved any other girl. Yes Liz, that includes you, hee. They both agree not to tell Jessica about their little romance.

#81Rosa’s Lie (Not recapped yet.)

It’s Pledge and Rush season people. The most exclusive Fraternity and Sorority at Sweet Valley High, the only Fraternity and Sorority at Sweet Valley High.

Jessica and Sam are all happy and giggly and making Elizabeth sick. Jessica gets grounded for failing math and not telling her parents. Wow actual parenting for a change. Elizabeth is happy because now Jessica can’t see Sam. Bitch.

Elizabeth pretends to be Jessica on the phone when Sam calls. She tells Sam that because she is grounded, it is better if they pretend this phone call never happened. Would that work? It does in the book because Jessica never mentions it to Liz.

The phone call makes Liz realize that Jess and Sam are really happy. Aaw.

#81 Kidnapped By The Cult!

Jessica joins the Good Friends. She almost leaves Sweet Valley. Elizabeth and Sam stop her in the nick of time.

This convinces Elizabeth that Sam really does love Jessica. Elizabeth decides it is time to let Sam go. They meet at the bloody beach again and have a really good talk. She finally gives him back his sweater, but he tells her to keep it.

Epilogue.

Elizabeth closes her diary and wipes away her tears. She cries over Jessica finding true love only to lose it when Sam died.

She hears Jess and Seth get back from their date. The door bell rings and she figures Jess has forgotten her keys.

She opens the door and Todd is standing there! He apologizes for coming over so late and gives Liz a gift wrapped box. There is a heart shaped locket inside. She can’t wear that, she already has a lavaliere. Any way, Todd had to cancel their date so he could drive a great distance to get the locket.  From a store that sells one of a kind things. Because Elizabeth is one of a kind. Todd forgot that Liz has a twin.

There is an inscription on the back. Liz, I’ll love you forever, Todd. Well, at least until College. They once again declare their undying love for each other and I throw up in my mouth a little.

I used to like Elizabeth when I was younger. Then I read this and realized she is worse than Jessica. She is a two faced lying cheater. Ok it's 3:30 am and I am off to bed. Enjoy.
