The Unicorn Club 93 Ellen's Family Secret (version 2)
This is a cover i found on the internet as i is too hard to go find my camera,my doesnt look like this much but it has the same pic on it.
This is my first recapping which will hopefully start many more as I have many Sweet Valleys that haven’t been covered yet
I just read the recap of the 1st one and the changes are that well Elizabeth and Maria and Mandy and Mary have gone and made their own club called the angels(the unicorns is original at least, the angels?)
Kimberley Haver has joined the unicorn club.
The book starts as Ellen is saying she sucks and has no talents but then she feels she can redeem herself at the skating rink. She has a new skating outfit (lavender with pearls and chiffon and lace trim) but embarrasses herself instead in front of every body including Rick Hunter and Peter Jefferies who are these "really cute 8th graders"
To top it all off she rips her skirt and is totally embarrassed .Then the other unicorns are mean to her .
After the weekend ,she is still embarrassed and is afraid her friends will have told every one (the other unicorns don’t seem that nice at this point) but as she finds out, they havent told anyone.
After school there is a meeting at her house because they need a new president, her house is the only place they can have it since she’s not in the running .They talk about the president then Family Day, a big picnic that’s coming up,
Next Ellen’s parent have this HUGE fight and all the other unicorns are embarrassed and leave .
Her parents have been fighting a lot and then they tell Ellen and her brother their getting a divorce and Ellen is really upset and doesn’t understand at all.
Family Day is ruined for Ellen and she doesn’t tell her friends because she thinks they wouldn’t understand even thought Lila's parents are divorced and then she thinks her friends will tease her and then boot her from the club.
She decides the only thing to do is fix their marriage and get them back together.She thinks like her friends and decides to bring her parents back together at the picnic with a romantic meal.
She gets both her parents to come but not together and by this time her dad has moved out.
Her parents see each other at the picnic and then start arguing and saying it’s the others fault that they are both there.Ellen gets upset and runs off and thinks her parents will get arrested for disturbing the picnic?
She thinks about moving to Wyoming .As Ellen is crying her friends appear and give her a new skating outfit (they pooled their money or Lila's dad just helped out).
It is the same as her old one just not ripped .
After that, she finds out they knew about the divorced coz of Jess’s Dad (the lawyer) and Jess makes her feel bad about not telling them and then they all have a big talk and every thing ends out good like always unless it’s a to be continued…
Also they decide Ellen should be president coz she is good at being the host at meeting and the back bone of the club and mushy stuff like that.
The next book is about how they miss Mandy (Mandy is cool, I read the one about her cancer and she is a really good character and kind of smart)
Hope this is an ok recap and readers will get the feeling of the book.
