Mark 10 - Video (Memory Theater)
[Jace is unaware that his device has come on and is currently broadcasting a memory of his. One he doesn't want to share with anyone. Yet...here it is for all to see.]
Memory
The scene is by a large lake. A girl with red hair is off to the side watching everything. But the main focus is the man with white blond hair. There is a sword pressed to his chest and a small spot of blood has formed where the tip is pressed.
"Do you have any last words?" It's Jace's voice. He sounds very calm.
"Jonathan-"
"Last words," he hisses. "What are they?"
The man raises his head. The dark eyes he has are grave and he simply says, "I'm sorry. I am so sorry." Then he is reaching a hand toward Jace. He doesn't know what is happening but then suddenly he gasps.
Looking down he sees a sword stabbed through his heart. He can only stare in shock at it before it's suddenly jerked out of his chest. Falling to his knees, he drops his sword. He can taste blood in his mouth and watches as it falls onto his shirt. Then strong arms are around him and he's being rocked. He knows those arms.
The last words he hears before it all fades to darkness are, "My son. My boy."
[The device flashes on Jace in his room now, cleaning a long sword before it shuts off completely to leave him unaware of what it has just done.]
[ooc: Jace currently doesn't know about the dream. Don't expect him to be entirely pleasant when he finds out it's up.]
