today we pretty much only went to the Doctor Who store in Upton Park AND IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER DFHAEDJKHDHJKDGHJSD AAAAAAAAAAAAAH PICS WITHIN
Okay so after spending quite some time in the store trying to decide what to buy, we finally went to the register to buy our junk and the guy said "You guys know there's a musuem, right?" We were shocked we hadn't heard of such a thing and excitedly asked where it was, when he told us it was in the TARDIS. We started as he pointed to the TARDIS in the corner of the store and we just stared at it, and back to him, and back to the TARDIS, and back at him. I'm sure our faces were just lit up with absolute delight and disbelief because the owner and the customers he was chatting with just smiled and were like "yeah, there's a museum in the TARDIS! just go right in!" So for an extra 3 pounds we entered the TARDIS...
everything in the musuem was either an actual prop/costume used in filming, or an official replica used for promotional purposes.
Naturally, most of the things in the museum were from the Classic Who era so we didn't know what most of it was. BUT...
this is the actual costume worn by the actor who played Vincent van Gogh!! the owner had apparently only gotten it in earlier this week, so we were really lucky!
(yes that is Captain Jack's costume in the back, and that cut-out of Jenny is signed by Georgia Moffet. the store owner said she is actually that small haha)
We learned that the store owner is actually an actor the plays extras, and he was in a lot of Classic Who episodes and has met most of the Doctors. He is also an extra in that new film Matt Smith is in about the British olympic row team.
After spending what was probably a couple of hours there....we had lunch at an Indian restaurant and headed back to the hostel. We decided to go find the vet school Loki has been accepted to up here, but the weather had turned rather wet...
Even though it was like, 5 at the latest, it was already dark outside so the campus was closed. On our way back to the hostel we had to switch at King's Cross so we tried one more time...
turns out platform 9 3/4 is actually outside of platform 1 lol. when we asked for help getting there he said there would be signs but THERE WERE NO SIGNS.
that is all for today! maybe I should've uploaded more pics lol
