I found this fellow taking his final rest on the concrete near our garbage can. He was posed so well, composed and relaxed that if it weren't for the flies, I wouldn't be sure he was dead. I moved him to the grove on the North side of the house and that where I took these pics. But what kind of brid is he?

Happy Birthday Catwithbell!

While getting ready to mow the lawn, I noticed some movement in the hedge. I looked again and the was a small bird trying to fly away and just flopping about. Its left foot had gotten tangled in some whispy filiments stuff to the branch and it was trapped ( Read more... )

Well, that was quick, if not painless.

I wish this had all happened sooner: it's been nearly two years since the accident and I've lost a lot of detail.

Here's to a nice trip home.

so, after about an hours wait on the runway, we've taken off and landed in nashville.

ugh, I hate flying.
