OH I would have to give them a good hard kick where it counts. But I think if it were me, sure,I might be a little aprehensive about saying anything to someone with more power than a friend, but I have trust that the people I know would get me over that feeling right quick
Good Post! You make a good point. If something like that heppens, you really do have to be careful who you talk to, and I would hope that everyone would have at least ONE person they felt they could trust. Peace!
amen to that! my aunt's niece was in the air force academy, and she was raped by a senior cadet who, get this, was A WORKER AT THE RAPE CRISIS CENTER! i thought it was a horrible thing, and when she told someone on the staff, they told her AND her mom (who's a COLONEL in the air force) that they couldn't talk about it!!
it's disgusting what some people will do to keep someone's reputation safe.
You are kidding... That is unbelievable. Sad that sometime those who are supposed to be the "safest" exploit and abuse that trust so horribly. A funny story. My Stepmother was in VietNam (She sang in a rock band and toured Asia... How cool is that?) Anyway, she and her friend were at an Army dance and one guy started to absolutely MAUL her friend, who was kind of shy. According to her, he was just being disgusting. So, my SM went to the guy and told him to back off. He told HER to go to hell, so she DECKED him. Flat out knocked him on his ass. No one bothered them after that and I guess they had a FABULOUS time! :-)
i think it is absolutly sick that 80% of high school guys would take their gfs by force if they didn't get in trouble. it disgusts me, its horrible and above all its not right. those are the kind of guys that you just want to slam against the wall when you pass them at school (not to sound violent of anything). what boggles my mind the most is how girls are so attracted to the "bad boy" image. i realize that not all girls are, but i have seen people just completely blow the fact that this guy is a womanizer, all because they are attracted to them so much. i think the media has a to do with it a little, but it all depends on how easily influenced the person is. there aren't alot of good guys out there either, but every once and a while you come across one. However, you have to see both sides because girls can do similar things to guys. i am not trying to justify date rape or aything so don't worry. guys that do that give all the other ones a bad image.
No, Aaron, You make a good point. In all fairness, it is amazing to me how many women will wear next to nothing and then be shocked and disgusted when someone notices them and stares. As you said, NOTHING justifies date rape, but some people need to take a look at themselves and ask, honestly, what it is they are trying to acheive by putting themselves in risk situations.. Not just once, but several times. There is Sexy, and then there is SLUTTY. There are a lot of people who cross the line. Just my opinion... I could be wrong!
