Title: when the best part of me was always you
Rating: At the moment it's NC-17 but I want to take out the scene that gives it that rating, in which case it'll probably be PG-15
Type: Slash
Characters/Pairings: Liam/Louis, Harry/Niall. Zayn is around and the guys from Big Time Rush are mentioned but honestly, they're not in the story at all really.
Warnings: Right now, there's a scene where Liam jerks off in his bunk, but I want to remove that scene because it no longer fits with the rest of the story, but yeah. Lots of angst and complaining and general teenagey-ness.
Summary: Um, so this is the story where Liam and Louis randomly become soul-bonded and can read each other's minds and feel each other's emotions. It happens one day on their UK tour when they have a snog on the bus after the others go out for a radio interview. The whole experience leaves Liam pretty confused, but he just goes with it and after they get home from their tour, he lets Louis invite himself over and tell Liam he loves him and then sleep with him. This leaves Liam even more confused because he doesn't know if he and Louis feel these things because they actually love each other or because their weird soul-bonding experience has forced them to like each other that way.
Cue months of narrated angst from Liam and angst from Louis and annoyed looks from Harry, Niall, and Zayn. At some point, Liam and Louis do sort out their differences enough so that they can be civil around each other for the good of the band and eventually, team up to help Harry get together with Niall (Liam's been so absorbed in his own problems over the past few months that he hasn't even noticed that Harry has been "absolutely pining" for Niall). And maybe they sort out their issues for good, but I don't want to give the whole thing away.

Louis Tomlinson is 19 years old, a young man with the rest of his life ahead of him; the world at his feet. Instead of University, he's dancing at Sunny Side resort with his new found best mate Liam Payne, waltzing his ass off just to afford dinner the next day. Dancing is all Louis's ever known, really. With his partner, Eleanor Calder- a young girl with a bright smile and a powerful strut, he figures he'll never know much more of life beyond the blue cabins tucked away in the woods. But than Harry comes along.
Harry Styles is every thing Louis is not. He's 17 years young, cheeky and confident. He comes from a rich family, one who belongs to the country club and can afford to stay at the resort. The second their car pulls up to the cabins, he's over the place already. He'd rather be back in Cheshire, kicking a football with Zayn. But his mother insists, and with a roll of his eyes, Harry complies. However, when his sister Gemma's constant whine pushes him just a bit too far he decides he's had enough of the shared rooms and the too thin walls, and stomps his way out the door. He finds the beach, where he stumbles upon a breathtaking sight. A young boy, not much older than himself, lost in the sound of music and dancing in the sand. Harry's stricken from the time he first sees Louis. But Louis' a dancer on the resort and Harry's rich, and they shouldn't fit together so well.
Louis tells himself that he's never going to fall for the boy with the curly hair and the green eyes. He tells himself that it's impossible. That doesn't stop it from happening, though. Soon, the boy from Cheshire turns into so much more than sparkling eyes and floppy hair, and somewhere between 'Hi,' and 'I do,' Louis' lost himself to Harry Styles and his charm. But as the years rack up and life takes it's toll on them both, Louis finds that his body isn't as healthy as it used to be, and his numbers may be even more limited than he thought.
