is it all right if our fics, for either challenge, turn out to be longer (slightly) than 1-3k? i always intend to do something of that length but i'm so long-winded :'( lol

we can lengthen the word count to 5k, but we think that having a certain amount to write makes the challenge more fun and really helps to push the author. also, we read through all of the things submitted to the community and it can be a bit tasking to read through 20 different fic's that are lengthy ^^

but if what you submit turns out to be say...5,300 words then that's alright. so long as it's not more than 500 over the limit!
