Harry/Louis - Blindness

Earlier today I was at school reading a blindness fic that was pretty adorable, but I'd love established relationship fic where Louis is blind and getting a corneal transplant.

I'd like Harry taking care of Louis pre and post-surgery and wanting to share every possible new experience he can with Louis once he has his sight. (shopping for clothes and watching Louis develop his sense of style, watching Louis' face as they are on the London Eye, watching movies etc.)

I also think it would be really interesting to see how their relationship dynamic changes now that Louis has all his senses.

He can't really argue with management when they suggest the transplant, its not that he doesn't want it, he just doesn't feel he needs it. He enjoys the world of shadows where whispers and touches replaces colours, painting portraits of the world around him clearer than glass

He wakes to hushed chatter.

Everything hurts, he tries to open his eyes. It feels like sandpaper is stuck beneath them scratching at his eyeballs, he feels tears slip out. The moisture irritates them further, he lets out a frustrated moan, its a double edged sword right now.

“Hey,” he feels Harry's breath hot against his cheek, “They said it will hurt for a bit love, keep them closed”

Louis thinks this sounds like a better idea, and falls back to sleep, Harry's hand clutched in his.

They go home the next day, it hurts less to keep his eyes shut so he does. They tell him it will be a week or so before his his vision starts to clear from the cloudy shadows, so Louis doesn't feel like he is missing out. He doesn't open them all week, it hurts, he tells them, when really he means i'm scared.

Harry fusses over him like a mother hen, do you need anything, does it hurt, hey don't get up I can do it for you.Louis laughs because its not like its any different from before, he embraces the darkness and clings to it knowing the

Three more days pass, Harry is patient, and Louis is terrified

Wow, this is just so lovely, and you write Louis so well, how he's struggling to deal with such a change and isn't even sure if he wants it. His relationship with Harry is so sweet and ugh, I just really love this!
