Liam has a younger sister who's deaf and meets Zayn, an alumni from his sister's school at an event there. They immediately hit it off and go from being good friends to a couple.

At that time, Zayn has just found out that he's qualified to receive a Cochlear implant and decides to go through with the procedure.

Fast forward a few years and Zayn is able to hear for the first time. He's just so fascinated by how different experiencing the most simple things is now and yeah, it's a little overwhelming, but Liam is by his side the entire time.

And since this is a kink meme, I would love to see how much Zayn loves hearing Liam, from his rough voice when he first wakes up to his humming when he's cooking dinner to his moans when they're in the heat of the moment.

couldn't bring myself to a full fill, but here's a little one because i love this prompt!

the very first time zayn hears liam's voice, he cries. they're sitting in the doctor office, testing out his implant for the first time, and liam says, "babe?"

one word. one single word that zayn has created the voice to in his mind, and it's better than anything he could ever imagine.

he doesn't mean to let out the sob; liam looks surprised, comes right to his side and places a hand softly on his lower back.

"zayn," he begins. he whimpers in response; his name sounds even better than babe ever could. "are you okay?"

zayn shakes his head, looking up at liam with tears in his eyes.

"i can hear you."

So I started to fill this before I saw that mini-fill which is wonderful and I really hope you don't mind that I try and fill this with a longer story? I am posting the first part here and if anyone likes it I can continue it on my journal... Liam rushes around his apartment trying to get ready. He usually takes pride in his time keeping abilities but this morning things are working against him. He slept in, the water for the shower refused to heat up and the shirt he had ironed the night before had been in an unfortunate accident with Liam’s morning bowl of cereal ( ... )
