Anya knew she shouldn't be; it was dangerous and stupid (unethical never was a problem for her though), yet she wanted to help. And if she was already locked in the same house as the vampire for the day, she might as well try to find some answers while she was at it.
She enters Spike's room and finds him, like expected, asleep. The perfect moment to search for clues. Now, all she had to do was be stealthy, luckily she had adquired that skill in her years as a vengeance dem-
"Crap" she mutters before falling on her face after tripping with something.
So much for caution. She picks herself up and notices the object she tripped over, only to see him open an eye and look strangely at her.
"Sorry, I was looking for something. For this, actually" she says in a rush, picking up the stupid object and examining it, trying to come up with an use for a jean jacket.
"Hey, that's-"
"Is that... neon puff paint on your jean jacket?" she asked, puzzled. "Because, mister, I've lived in the 80's, and let me tell you, they're over by now!"
"Whatever, take it, just let me sleep" he said, throwing a blanket over his head. "Crazy woman."
Taking advantage of that, Anya takes the jacket and leaves the room as quickly as she had entered. She could always come back for clues a couple of hours later anyway. Now, the only thing she had to decide was which mystery she wanted to solve first: whether or not Spike's hunger was so strong that he was murdering and siring people all over Sunnydale, or why the hell was there puff paint on his jacket.
Suddenly, the former didn't seem that important really...
