How long have I sat
watching Quasimodo ring his bells
as if an unfinished symphony were finished in its clanging hemiolas?
How long has my jaw been so crooked, leaning to the left and trying against my will to pull my smile down?
How long have I unconciously buried, 
ignored,
and choked doubt,

A person who can sear the page with words like these that slow-burn into the soul could never, ever, be shallow. Stay in touch with who you are, share yourself truly, and your people will find you.
