Another quick hello from the office. The person that my boss hired as my assistant is not working out. She can't get names correct or message right. Her days are numbered. I feel badly but here is an example: Names changed to protect the innocent

Oh geez. I'm sad to say there seems to be a lot of incompetence in people these days. I run across it all the time.

Ordinarily I hire and supervise the clerical staff in our office, but the one time our department head decided he was going to make the decision about whom to hire we got a doozy! Actually she gave me my user id. My name isn't Maxine, but when she came in for her interview, she asked for Maxine Taylor (my name is Myra) and the last name wasn't even right. (The people at work have called me "Maxine" ever since.) After she had been working for us for three months we had to let her go. She had totally destroyed our database and had messed us up so many ways that the department head never even asked to meet the candidates for clerical positions again.

Great story,"Maxine". This person at work was giving directions over the phone on how to get to our office and she was telling people to turn at Smiley Rd. It's Sibley. I can go on and on.
