Under the Lilac Tree

I just buried the pretty gold box with the butterfly top that holds the fur the vet cut from our lovely Lilith after she crossed over. She is in the shade of the lilac bush. It took Grand Ma Ma (me) long enough to do this. Part was because of the cold and hard soil and part because it's so final. Nicole and I were going to do it together but

Bravo for having the courage to make this step. Poor Sebastian's ashes are still in their tin sitting on top of my bookcase. I can't part with them... I've thought of it, but whenever I would sit down to write he'd lay next to my chair and sleep with his chin on one of my feet. He may not be here slobbering on my toes, but he is still in the room with me. :)

Lulu, it must be a sign!

I just got back from getting flowers to re-plant, Alley's memorial planter! It's just a nice day out and I decided I should work on it.

We should pick a day of the year to honor our pets. Past and present. They are as part of the family as moms, dads, brothers & sisters.

It sounds just beautiful what you did for Lilly :)
