I have a student who goes to an "international" high school, which mostly just means they attempt to teach everything in English.  She brought her Algebra book into class today, and it was the same one I had when I was in the ninth grade!  Awesome.

That does look familiar... how funny. :) Just goes to show, textbook publishers are EVERYWHERE! I wish companies actually strove to create interesting and interactive textbooks that are actually at the reading level (or even slightly below) of the students for which they're aimed.

Part of me wants to make textbooks when I grow up. You know, after I've taught for a while and can tell what works best.

I had that one too. Also, I'm pretty sure you took algebra I in 8th grade. Just saying.

Mine had some crazy buildings on it, I think.

However, I'm pretty sure Holt made my algebra II book. (And my geometry book, which also had crazy buildings on it!)
