I'm sorry your boss sucks... the same shit goes on, here. People get stuck in the old way of doing things, which really never worked. You are doing things the right way, but you already know that. Even though all ed majors are pretty much taught that rote memorization is teh suxors, principals still expect you to do it. I don't get it, either.
Good luck, and I think you have the right mindset... the point is that the kids are learning, and you have them under control. I'm sorry you have to butt heads with your boss so much, though.
Can you get a job elsewhere next year?
