So I'm in Germany.  It's pretty fucking awesome, I must say.  So far I've been in Berlin, Bonn, Mainz, Würzburg and I'm currently in Munich. Right now I'm in a disgusting hostel, but I figure staying in at least one gross place is part of the overall backpacking experience.  As long as they have a bed and no serial murderers, I'm okay with it.  I'

How much does this cost all around? Lee and my mom and I are going this summer to Europe, etc. and I've heard ballpark estimates ranging from four to ten thousand dollars.

All told with flight and everything I will have spent a little less than $2000 for two weeks. But it would be possible to do it way cheaper. I spent a lot of money on an unlimited train ticket thing, got a sort of expensive pair of boots, and stayed in a semi-expensive hotel one night because the hostel was full. The most expensive meal I've had so far was €13, but it's usually more like 5.
