Oh, Zachary Quinto is gay. Glad to hear he's happily out (and I'm liking the new glasses better), but what's that eerie wailing sound I'm hearing? Oh, just the echo of a million fangirls squeeing! But they can keep the ZQ slash because I still squick at it - I blame Heroes! Now if they'd just hurry up and make the next Star Trek movie, cus the last ( Read more... )

star trek, film, everyday stuff, slash

@ Westlife: That was pretty much my reaction too: did they still exist as a band? (And do I really care?)

Lol, I can hear the far din of rabid ZQ-fangirls too, but I myself is not all that interested in him (the person/actor). Talking about ST, I can never quite thank you enough for you rec of Brightness Burns (and Icarus in Retrospect++ *g*). <333 Feel free to share more in that vein.

Bring on the next ST-movie! *goes to rewind the last one, again*

Oh awesome, you liked those fics! I just wonder if there is ever going to be more of them... I haven't read much ST lately, except for this short one that popped up on the issenterprise comm, it was pretty evil... >:) http://canis-takahari.livejournal.com/391388.html

Right now I'm seriously getting my fangirl on (again) for Generation Kill, but most of the fic just isn't that great, and not angsty or dark enough... :(

True about the GK-fics, they are mostly incredibly sweet (if satisfyingly macho).

*skips over to check out that link* Eeee!

Sweet GK fics - wtf, right?? >:(
Although there was one which was actually pretty good, come to think of it. I mean, it had many flaws, like an unsure start, excessive use of the words 'Brad' and 'Nate', Nate suddenly launching into an uncalled for physical fight with Brad, and squandering some of the angst in the end... BUT it's a decently written post-series story about love and family, and definitely has enough angst to be worthwhile. And I kind of love that fight (despite it seeming out of character for Nate) because hey, they're marines and it only makes sense that if they fight, they fight hard. Like, concussion hard. *grin*
The family bits are really good too, surprise, surprise. Despite credibility issues the worst problem is basically that it's good, but it could have been great.
