The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you!

Wow... I like Classic Rock'n'Roll from any era... Bluegrass... some country... some jazz... here are some favorite performers: The Beatles, Allison Krauss, Jethro Tull, Bonnie Raitt, Steely Dan, Sarah McLachlan, Beach Boys, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris, The Animals, Evanescence, Faith Hill, Carlos Santana, Dan Fogelberg, The Monkees, David Bowie, John Prine... to name a few. I'm also a big fan of Classical music.

If I were better at jitterbugging, my favorite song to dance to would be Runaround Sue by Dion & the Belmonts. So I would say I Need To Know by Marc Anthony... honorable mention - Surfin' USA (because you can do any 60's dance to it).

If I were cooking, it would be - wedding soup, lasagna (my own recipe, which includes tiny meatballs, kielbasa, and four kinds of cheese), French cut green beans and mushrooms, and chocolate mousse. The guest list would include my Pittsburgh friends and at least half of my friend's list. I cook for or eat with my family frequently already.

I also enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner - the whole nine yards.

This Sunday my mom made my favorite dinner - city chicken and mashed potatoes. For those who don't know, city chicken consists of pieces of veal and pork skewered together, breaded, fried, then baked.

Sorry to be late in replying. It went very well. We made another attempt to see Mt. St. Helens, but that was the one foggy, cloudy, rainy day we had... and only on the mountain. Pics are at http://communtiy.webshots.com/user/oldmanfan/ and the album is Vacation2008.

Are you going to dress up for Halloween, and if so, as what?

I dress up to hand out candy. I'll be a space cowboy ala Firefly/Serenity.
