Chapter 3

This can’t be happening to him. First the inconspicuous (yes he knows what the word means he’s not that dumb) flowers and chocolates by his doorsteps and now this. A truckload of balloons, chocolates AND flowers in his office. No wonder the female population was in a major moe mood. Damnit all to hell.

Asuka san was the first person to make any remark in this matter “damn Akihito kun, I knew you were pretty but to garner such devotion. You’re one lucky guy”

“A-A-Asuna san what are you talking about?”

“Don’t play coy Akihito kun. Anyone with eyes can see that you went and got yourself a lover. We were beginning to wonder whether or not we’d have to intervene. Good to know you still can handle that much adult responsibility”

With a leer she continued “soooo how is she in bed? Is she even legal or did you forget to ask her age in your frenzy to pop your cherry?”

“P-p-p-pop my c-c-c-cherry? WHAT THE HELL?”

“Oh so she’s a he then is it? I thought so. You’re too pretty for a girl Takaba…”

“ASUNA SAN!!!!”

“Ok ok I won’t comment on your boyfriend anymore. But you know how much I looooove those foreign imported chocolates ne Aki kun? Soo…” here she pushed her C cup chest stifling Akihito in the process “may I please steal those chocolates from you? You can rub yourself against me all you want” and she ended by giving him another leer.

Gulping audibly Akihito stammered “L-l-look if you want the d-d-damned chocolates then by all means but can you please umm….remove yourself from my face? I can’t breathe” and here he promptly turned blue.

“Oops my bad Akihito kun” she sauntered over to the desk and picked up the box of chocolate with reverence. What is with women and chocolates anyways? he wondered.

Stopping by him she swooped down and planted one big kiss one his lips. “Thank you for the treat Akihito kun” and with a wink she disappeared leaving Akihito nearly comatose by his desk.

Damn if only I moved in quicker thought Asuna as she dove into the chocolates to console her broken heart.

Few moments later another hoard of females attacked him asking about the chocolates and balloons. Without waiting for it he quickly threw all the chocolates out in the hallway shouting “finder’s keepers” and quickly ran inside to protect himself from the stampede.

While he was out getting rid of the flowers and yelling at the men who leered at him his cell phone began to ring. Thinking it might be Kou and Takato he picked it up without any thought.

“Hello?”

“Ah Akihito kun how nice to hear from you again. Did you like the chocolates that I sent?”

“F-F-FEI LONG??? IS THAT REALLY YOU??”

“The one and only Akihito kun”

“You’re the one that’s been sending me all that crappy girly shit then?”

“Ah pardon me, but were the tokens not to your liking then?”

“What the fuck? You do realize I am a guy right? SO WHY IN THE NAME OF SEVEN HELLS WOULD I LIKE FLOWERS, BALLOONS AND CHOCOLATES?”

“But it said in the book that those are the best way to convey your feelings”

Akihito was stumped. Books? Feelings? “hey Fei Long? Are you doing drugs by any chance?”

“No” here he sniffed “I don’t usually sample my imports Akihito kun. I have others to do that for me”

O…..k?? “Well…umm….if you don’t mind I’d like to ask something”

“Anything for you Akihito kun”

Akihito shivered at the husky tone of Fei Long’s voice. Gulping and taking a deep breath he asked “What feelings are you talking about? I thought we were through when I returned the deed to you. And…aren’t you in love with Asami?”

A long pause followed his question. Finally he heard Fei Long speak

“I won’t deny the fact that I had strong feelings for Asami. But after meeting you I realized that I only admired him because he was the first person to vocally acknowledge me as an equal, something I’ve always wanted to experience. Since I was young it was easy to mistake the feelings of gratitude for love. When I met you I thought I loathed you for stealing all his attention for yourself. Words cannot express the shame I experience every time I recall the way I treated you. Even so you shed tears for me when you were not obligated to. And knowing how much the deed meant to me you gave it to me instead of Asami. It was then that I realized how much you meant to me Akihito kun. How I cannot survive without your presence in my life”

With a deep breath he continued “So Akihito kun I’d like to ask you out for dinner. Would you mind having dinner with me?”

The denial was at the tip of his tongue, but something in the earnest way that Fei Long was asking him made him stop. Sure he cared for Asami and would never in a million years think about betraying him, but the things that Fei Long said couldn’t be denied.

Heaving a deep sigh and knowing that he would regret this Akihito replied “Alright, I’ll have dinner with you. But there is a condition. This is not a date, it’s only to give you a chance to repay me back so that we don’t have to associate any longer. And further more..”

“Do you abhor my company that much Akihito kun?”

“Huh?”

“Judging by the way you are responding to me it seems like you are weary about my dinner invitation. Is it because of the incident? I assure you Akihito kun that something like that will not happ…”

“Look, do you want to have dinner or not?”

“Of course I do”

“Well ok we’ll just have dinner. And it’s not a date, agreed?”

“Yes Akihito kun. If that’s the case then I’ll come pick you up at 7 tonight. See you then.” And with that Fei Long hung up.

Shaking his head to clear it of it’s confusion Akihito dove back into his work ignoring his coworkers and trying to forget the fact that he just accepted a dinner invitation for his lovers rival.

Fei Long in the meantime was dancing happily in his head. Finally a new chance to start fresh with Akihito kun. He quickly made some phone calls and placed a booking at one of Tokyo’s most expensive hotels. With that out of the way he made his way towards his room with Tao in tow to help prepare for this glorious evening.

Soon Akihito kun you’ll be all mine, and this time I’ll play fair for your sake.
