River had been gone when Buffy woke up. Buffy didn't think there was anything strange about that. Berthold seemed a little more anxious than normal though and was hiding under her bed.

It had taken Dawn a little while to get up all the stairs, but she finally found her sister's room. Knock, knock, knock. "Buffy, open up and let me in or I'm telling Mooooooooom."

Buffy stared at the door for a moment, then got up, placing her books on the bed, and walked over to the door. She boggled. "...Dawn?"

River returned to her room in search for more pens and paper. The robot building this morning had been a good start to the day, but she had to make sure to take notes. "Hi, Buffy!" she said, waving.

"Is there something wrong?" River asked, sitting down on her bed. "I've built a robot this morning with Zach." Her eyes turned dreamy. "He has a lab. And I found some interesting reading." She placed the books on astrophysics that she'd borrowed next to her on the bed.
