River had been gone when Buffy woke up. Buffy didn't think there was anything strange about that. Berthold seemed a little more anxious than normal though and was hiding under her bed.

Buffy shrugged and settled down on her bed to flip through her year books. She was really quite pleased with how they'd turned out

It had taken Dawn a little while to get up all the stairs, but she finally found her sister's room. Knock, knock, knock. "Buffy, open up and let me in or I'm telling Mooooooooom."

Buffy stared at the door for a moment, then got up, placing her books on the bed, and walked over to the door. She boggled. "...Dawn?"

"Hi Buffy!" Dawn walked in like she owned the place and made a beeline for the yearbooks, "What're these?"

"My yearbooks," Buffy said automatically. "Wanna sign them?" She paused for a moment. "Um, why are you kinda... littler than usual?"

River returned to her room in search for more pens and paper. The robot building this morning had been a good start to the day, but she had to make sure to take notes. "Hi, Buffy!" she said, waving.

"Hi... River?!" Buffy yelped, and Bertie's tentacles waved a little like he was trying to say that's why he'd been hiding.

"Is there something wrong?" River asked, sitting down on her bed. "I've built a robot this morning with Zach." Her eyes turned dreamy. "He has a lab. And I found some interesting reading." She placed the books on astrophysics that she'd borrowed next to her on the bed.

"Well, you're kind of... littler than usual," Buffy said cautiously. "I mean, I'm sure you were bigger when we went to sleep."
