Buffy tried on the boots and posed. "Yup, perfect fit! Thank you." She looked over at the bed. "I was thinking of giving him a birthday too, but I think then he'd eat himself sick on ice cream or something."

Parker grinned, and snitched a tiny piece of cake. "Did the cheerleading tryouts go okay?" Not that she wasn't glad to have avoided it completely. "I saw that you had a lot of new people on the team."

"Oh they went great," Buffy smiled, then winced. "I never should have talked Dawn and Evie into trying out though."

"Riiight. That Dawn girl is your sister, sort of?" Parker tilted her head, and took a bite of the cake. "Evie, I think I've only met her once or twice. Not good, either of them?"

"That one yes," Buffy nodded. "At least Dawn might only hurt herself, I think Evie could probably accidentally topple an entire pyramid and send the squad to the clinic. Neither of them made it," she added.

Parker snickered, then hid a smile behind her hand before calming. "I'm glad you had plenty of other people trying out, then. What are you guys cheering this semester? I keep meaning to ask, since we don't have a basketball team active at the moment."
